The B&B meet? I'll be there if our Jeep is fixed in time. Had a bad car accident on Sunday, so if the repairs are promptly authorized by the other person's insurance company (they were at fault in the accident, not us) and can be completed by next week, we will come with our CS20 "Second Wind". If not, we don't have a tow vehicle, but there is still a slim chance (very slim) we might still drive up on the motorcycle and try to hitch a boat ride with someone else.

I would love to be there - if I won Lotto I would get a plane ticket.  Trust that those of you who are there will take and post lots of photos.  I especially would love to get a preview of how Tom's Lapwing looks/sails if it is finished on time.

Lapwing will be finished and will be there.  It may actually be the first launching though.  I'm taking Lapwing to Georgetown for the boatshow this weekend but am being rushed to get it ready, visually if not actually ready.  That is, if no one notices the mounting holes drilled for the Andersen bailer that is not yet installed.  Latest problem is that the trailer I ordered has not come in.  I had to take Scamp, the little speedy runabout, off its trailer and modify it to sort of fit Lapwing today.  Lots of hoisting and propping up involved.

There have been just too many delays and necessary recesses from building this boat.  I usually like to build a boat in one continuous session and this one has been frustrating.  Seems to take twice as many hours and twice the work when it's broken up like this.  Having to prepare the shop for hurricane season was the biggest time waster this year.  Time out for back surgery also lost quite a few months. 

I'll get Lapwing rolled out tomorrow and post a couple of photos.  The finish looks decent from a distance but the over all impression is just great.  Going to be a nice boat.

Latest break was almost a week in  Maryland for a final send off for a relative.  Part of it was an internment in Arlington National Cemetery since he was in WW11 with two purple hearts, a bronze star and also several months in a German POW camp.  If you get the chance to attend a ceremony there, take it, because it's very moving and impressive for someone you know. 

Another high point was getting to sail with my son in his F24 trimaran on Chesapeake Bay last Saturday.  Big annual boatshow in Annapolis but I was glad to ignore it in favor of going sailing.  Great little boat and fast.

I hope to help Graham show off the Shopbot CNC machine a bit in between sailing..."Petunia"is no where near ready for the trip as I have been on the road most of the last few months, but I hope to see a few CS 17's so I can get some ideas to jump start my Winter building phase...

There are a lot of folks coming that don't post. CS15 and CS20 hulls #1 will be there and Chick will be there on Sunday with his new lobster boat also called Princess. The CS20 Ketchup will also be there plus a couple of Bay River skiffs, a Moccasin 2 a Catspaw, a Diva and one or two Spindrifts. Not to mention that Southern Skimmer will be there and sailing.

Hope you guys ( and gals) have a ball. I WAS planning to attend, until a certain hurricane named Ike took my extra funds.

Oh well, we missed that one, so I guess I can't complain.

My wife and I were to be there last Saturday for a ten day stay. But because of her grandfathers health we can not attend. We need to stay close by.

I was so looking forward to this outing and meeting you all. Maybe next time.

I'm at the Bath Visitor's center now, using their computer.  My wife and i have been visiting Roanoke and the Outer Banks and now working our way towoards Graham's place.  See all Friday.

Our Jeep is still in the shop (from a car accident), but MAY be ready by tomorrow afternoon. If it is, we're coming. If it isn't, we're not going to make the trip. But we won't know until the very last minute, it seems.

Garry like all things, everything will come to pass. Its what you do during that time is what you remember in most cases. Its quite possible that the fellowship is worth more than the sailing and places a new perspective on things long term when swapping banter. The winds, if as expected will allow you to gauge what you are capable of if also making a decision on some of the boats. This applies to anyone too. Don't be discouraged unless you are part of the spoiled ones living in ideal climate conditions year round. Don't be a panty waisted fair weather sailor. : ;D[now where is that razz tonque in cheek gremlin? I can never figur it out in this new fangled formats!!]
