My voting registration will be delayed - until Marissa's 18th Birthday in January - but still in time for the next election cycle. It will be worth the wait to do it together. Meanwhile I can get my US passport. Now I have to support 2 passports! Now I am eligible for jury duty too; but they may have pulled my name permanently at the courthouse last time they sent me notice, when they realized I couldn't serve because I wasn't a citizen .....hmmmmm. It was funny, when I called in to say I was willing to serve, but couldn't; the guy said I had the first legitimate excuse he'd heard in a year! from Carla: Is this bigamy? Now I'm married to an American AND an Australian! Quote
