Thanks for the recommendation of awlwood. I was going to do a clear LPU, but I think I may go with awlwood after reading up on it. Everyone, Thanks for the kind words on the transom. I have spent many years on sportboats with all the teak trimmings and would like to do the cockpit too, but I'm just to cheap and lazy, and don't want the extra weight so this and the helm pod are the only teak going on it. The toe rail will be sepele so if I get tired of maintenance I won't feel to bad about painting it.

Chick, so after hearing so much about sweet tea on your threads, while in Chattanooga this last week I just had to try some. I also had shrimp and grits, hush puppies, biscuits and gravy, fried green tomatoes, okra, some of the best barbecue, bourbon, Tennessee whiskey. Can I claim to be a southerner now? Nice progress on the codger. BTW, I don't ever need to eat okra again thanks.

At first I thought the recesses were for hinge knuckle clearance, then realized they are going the wrong way. Maybe just layup your parts on the mould without them. You can easily add a block to the corner of the mould to create a space for a drain fitting. Block of wood, a little clay... As far as glassing the interior, I just can't understand how it takes so long. I stood back thinking I could probably do 3 a day when I was starting. I sure got a reality check once the process started. My dad was over when I was doing some of this and his first comment after getting through with one box was, "I can't believe it took that long".

I like the top one too. Very classic look. To finish the look add a king plank. It's work, but is beautiful.

OH, the joy of progress. Everything is sprayed with high build. While I'm really over the sanding thing, the baby butt smooth finish is very satisfying.

Thanks Guys The dark spots are 1.25" (30mm) fiberglass dowels installed in the transom as both moisture barrier and crush collar for the engine mounting bolts.

Intermediate rail installed Upper rub rail and tumble home bumper installed. Mid way through glassing the rails Rails all glassed. Filleting and blending. The other side does exist.

My understanding is that, between blush and bonding concerns, the entire surface should be sanded to dull leaving no shiny spots.

We used to do that out on cape cod when you could take trucks out on the beach. Trailer the boat with you, dump it on the sand, push it in with the truck that has a big carpeted pad on the front, run up on the beach when you're done. Was a load of fun, I was just a kid. -
I believe the main circuit protection should not be auto resetting.
