Charlie Jones Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Laura left on July 13th on board Tehani, heading slowly eastward. I'll be delivering the boat sitting in front of the shop on next Saturday, then I'll be joining her aboard Tehani. We intend to cruise the Keys, then the Bahamas. Probably ( if it goes as planned) be gone until next summer (or longer-who knows) Our online access will be pretty limited- her IPhone has internet, but typing is SLOW. We'll not be making many posts except when we find ourselves with WIFI availability. So I'll read this board now and again, but after this week will probably not post. I'll be on here until this coming weekend at any rate. WE WILL try to post updates occasionally on TSBB and SailFar Ya'll be safe and good sailing to all. Quote

Since you are heading out during hurricane season, perhaps you can pick up some extra money being eye witness/video? ;D Hopefully while in a "safe" port. I am hoping you manage to miss any storms. I am also thinking that when you make port, the marinas and yacht clubs often have wifi, which would let you connect and keep us abreast of your happenings. I will miss you on here and when we visit next summer down that way too. Quote

Charlie Jones Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 As of 1545 this after noon, I'm retired. The boat I was finishing is tied down, on the trailer, ready to roll to Florida. I leave in the morning to join Laura. Hitching a ride to where she is with the boat owners SO, until we meet again- adios amigos. Here's what Tehani looks like where Laura is anchored now in the Sabine River off Orange, Texas- But for now- It's PARTY TIME ;D ;D Quote
