Norm, your princess looks fantastic! Nice work! We'll be attaching the last panel of our deck on the CS20 this evening, so we're only a few weeks from completion, but like you say, it will probably be double that amount of time since things always come up. 

Looking forward to seeing your launch photos. I very nearly built the princess myself, but decided the open-cockpit of the CS was a better fit for us. Can't tell you how many times I drooled over the plans though, and I like the green you chose for color.

Wow! That's a beautiful boat Norm!

Are you going to have a cove stripe and boot top? If so, what color? My vote would be for the green, but I'm always amazed at how well some colors that I never would have thought of turn out.

Check with Graham. He's worked out a formula for the boottop that's a little wider on the ends so it looks right. It really sets off the boat and makes it look a lot longer and sleeker.

No boottop, I've put a couple coats of anti-fouling bottom paint, last year when she was upside down. Maybe a cove stripe, still being debated. But not this year.

Wes, I have decided to not worry about the cabin insides for this season. The trailer is ready. Hope to birth her up on this week. Sails need a couple hours, SPRITS, hoping to launch middle of next week. Major push to get license starts tomorrow. You started in February, I started in June, 2006. It's a race

G'day All,

  Big step today. In Massachusetts homemade boats need an inspection from the Environmental Police to have a hull identification number assigned. Because that's needed to get a registration. It happened this morning ;D

  I can make her go, both wind and fossil fuel. Steering too. I think even stopping can be done. 

  A trip to Boston to get her registered, a safe birthing on to the trailer, and we're off to the water. Weather and time willing, next weekend. (Labor Day weekend gives me three days)

  Arrangements are being made for a public welcome christening at Pavilion Beach in Ipswich the following weekend. Details to be post when finalized

Congratulations!.  Loved the photos.  Great lookin' boat!  Sounds like you don't have to etch the HID into the transom as we do down here in NC.  If you get a chance, I'd love to see a close-up photographic tour of the boat  --lots of pics of all the various details, rigging, hardware, trailering configuration, etc.  I've never seen a Princess 22 in person.  It's true (as Dave Finnegan on "Hirilond

Like many others, have been following your build with great interest, congrats on completion - she looks great!

Gladly volunteering to help in any way possible for either weekend's work detail - if you need an extra set of hands for any or all just give a yell.

Things are looking real good for a Laborday weekend splash for my Princess. My oldest daughter and I went to Boston Tuesday morning. Came home with my official paperwork. Still have to put the numbers on the vessel but I should be able to find time for that this week. Tested the engine today. Very quiet, wife is very pleased.

Tomorrow I try to birth her on to the trailer.

Thanks for the offers of help, I think I'll be alright. Still working the details of the Christening.
