capt jake Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 BTW, the 2-1 rigging I created with the jib sheet really helped out in raising the mast. I ended up attaching teh end of the sheet to the eye for the clubfoot. Once the mast it secured, simply re-route teh sheet to it's proper location. Quote

Sure hope those new sails aren't just another quality example of "The Emperor's New Clothes"! If so, I would check the reputation and resume' of the tailer. You also might want to see if there actually is anyone at the return address. After that I have several large projects to complete on the new house before I am 'allowed' to play!! :D I am hoping for the end of June or maybe July at this point. The boat is beautiful, and yearns to be in its natural environment with her Builder at the helm. To delay the launch is almost criminal! Want us to give your wife a call? Maybe we can convince her the "honey-do" list should wait. Its not like you've ridden a motorcycle up the basement stairs or anything (we could even tell her that story! That might help!) Quote

We are looking at removing ALL of the carpet and replacing it with a snap lock laminate. Siding has to be replaced first though. Olympia Wooden Boat Fair; May 10-11 starts at about 1000. Downtown Olympia at Percival Landing. Easy to find, but parking is the challenge. I hope to have the kayak there as well. Quote

LOL, Yeah she read that one!! She was wondering why I was laughing so hard!! :D In her book... well, it is time I did something else for a wee bit! She is excited about the prospect of a boat that 'she' will be comfortable on, ie power, dry, potti, etc, etc. This is after we finish 'rebuilding' the house. I have to get focused on that and make it happen quickly!! (in between weddings, showers, birthdays, oh and I forgot about work stuff!!!) Take care!!! Quote
