Looks whats coming to me

I bought myself a Christmas present several weeks ago and it was just finished. I asked Jill Ellis of Adanac paddles to build me a paddle after seeing one of hers. Anxious to see it but I have no doubt the quality is just amazing!

That's a beauty - love the logo. The paddles on the Adanac website look very nice - did you go with a shouldered model?

 

I have never used a Greenland paddle, but now that my Ravenswood is finished it seems like I should.  I have a good source of WRC near me and I am tempted to pick out a nice tight grained board and try a hand at making my own.  I have no expectations of being able to match the Adanac quality, however!

A buddy had her make him one several months ago and I was just in awe at the quality. I just waited till she ran a sale and I ordered one. (I try to never pay retail  )  I think I make a pretty good paddle but his was flawless! It is just a work of art! So I am really anxious to get it!

  That is a pretty paddle, top rung work there. Good for you! I was surfing their site and learned a lot about Greenland paddles. Never really thought about them before, hmm...

I had a fair amount of shoulder pain using a Euro paddle. When I started  using a GP that quit except when I just over do it.

So do you hang that beautiful paddle over the fireplace?  I mean you don't take it out and scuff it up in some dirty river do you?!

I will hang it on the boat trailer with one of those pretty kayaks and drive the water ASAP!
