NCC race updates here!

Alan and Dawn aka SOS and Sandybottom are racing in the NCC leaving tomorrow morning. 

pre race inspection revealed some frayed snotter bridles which were replaced. 

Other than that Carlita is good to go.

Nate aka KnottySheets is also racing in a Spindrift 12 outfitted with extra reefs and sleeping platform.

Also racing is our own Richard Johnson in a Wayfarer. Should be a great event! Will try to post updates here.

Wow, great videos, and if that was around four hours ago, that's when it was "calm" by comparison to the current noon time conditions.

Richard aka Fetch opted for the Adam's Creek route. Pic from yesterday. 

 

Harlowe had 1kt foul current. Rowed through at 1kt. Anchored in Taylor creek at 3am. Drug anchor in the squall and nearly hit a boat! TOO exciting. reset and slept another hour. Hope to be back at cedar island by sundown.

Camera is an insta360-3 with a loong selfish stick then just captured off my phone.

Great job, And Tony, while being landlocked for a while from selling his boat, looked foward to these events that gave him an excuse to slip away from inland. He would have really loved the real time videos and photos this time around.  You guys were challenged in the sound.  How many went this year?

By the way do you know how many miles that boat has under its keel? Its certainly a well traveled and proven skiff.

Nate finished the NCC in the spindrift 12. 2 capsizes and lots of Jellyfish but he made it!!! Great job!

 

 

 

 

And Richard and Gareth finished this morning in his Wayfarer and is off to do the Governers cup. These guys are tough!
