Yes, but I really do not like having to have stays and shrouds on such a small boat. My objective is to do away with that and set it up more like the cat rig, using just the main sail. It will reduce the over sail area but that is okay too.

I am about to build new mast and boom for my Spindrift 12. Graham has a plan for an all wood mast on the plan sheet.

Cold, stuck indoors, and hunkered down. That pretty much describes my situation too. I am weary of being cold and would love to sit on a warm beach watching the waves. Sigh.

Bill, I live in Saint Joseph, MI. I use to own a Catalina 22 wing keel and had similar experience with Lake Michigan. I sold her, bought a slightly bigger boat, rarely used it, then sold it, at a loss, and have not been sailing since. That was several years ago. I do motor homing now instead. My Spindrift 12S is all I really need anymore. Greg.

Mike, I think I understand. I lost my Dad this last July and just have a very hard time talking about him. Your Dad was special to me, as I mentioned previously. He lives on in his books and the people who knew him. We are all better for that. Greg.

I think this is an excellent place for tool related postings, rather than scattered hither and yon in the boat forums. Scott's thread about that 8 1/2 x 11 sander would fit here and I bet there are a lot more threads. Then we could use them for resources later. Just my opinion.

I use West Systems epoxy but not this product you are asking about. I would also like to hear some feedback from folks who have used it.

I did not know of this either. He and Mike inspired me over the decades about boats and cars and inspired my two youngest sons too when we built an Amphora together. This is sad news. I have always wanted to meet Peter and Mike.

I have been exploring those for a few weeks now and there is a lot of information to absorb from that fine place. I will probably build one of them, once deciding on what it is that needs building. I like the idea of buying them made then putting it all together, rather than making each detail by hand. I like 80/20 products too and expect to make the frames from that.
