Roger on not using the trail!!!!! The news said it washed out during the rain the other day. The road comission has a permenent detatchment up there just to keep that road open. It needs regrading everythine it rains, that plus the outer edges are always falling into the canyons. Oh hell yes, drag another 30' trailer up that beast.

No one hurt except the boats; although Bill was soaked and he scared years off me. It was a wild night to say the least. ( It must be noted that not one beer was lost or spilled in the execution of this wreck) Saralee is back in PHX now and a reassesment of the damage has been completed. Repairs can be accomplished to make her as good as new and even stronger in the sides without the addition of too much weight. Some minor fixes will start soon with the major work being done once we find a place to live. Seems the RV resort folks frown on you flipping your boat in the empty lot next door. Lubbers all I suspect, they just don't seem to know (or care) just who this boat is! Can you imagine? :

Adla we are not going real soon. A year at the least due to lease schedules and such. Bud clued me about the photo of the Saralee in SCA so now she must be made to look that good again. Damn boats are like kids, once you have them you are obligated to keep them and look after them. Ask Stumph and Mike. They have yards full of boats! ;D

We moved to Pheniox to work for the Coast Guard, I know what CG in PHX. Any way here we are. It was a good promotion that was not coming in Fla. I need to stay a year then I can take it back to Fla and the AF. We are down to one dog so freedom isn't far off. She will be 13 next month. Haven't been doing any sailing as I nearly lost the boat in a squall on Roosevelt lake in Sept and have not fixed the rock damage yet. We are still living nthe RV!! Other than that it is SSDD.

He's a Florida boy Ken so I'll wager St Johns River and the Mug race! 8) Your best bet is to go with the rudder configuration specified by the designer. He or she has already optimized the rudder parameters for the hull in most cases. Some designs have room for improvement but normally the gain in efficiency is not worth expendature of time, materials, and effort.

Thanks for the info Jake. When I get home I'll search around for one. The Fla house backs up to the reservation and as a fire break we cleared about a 1/4 acre area behind the house and planted srubs and flowereing trees etc. It gets to be a bit much to take care of with shovel, barrow , and walk behind mower. That tractor would be just the ticket. Plus it looks like another fun toy!!! ;D

Neat tractor Jake. Cornbinder by the looks of the logo. Mike I have reinstructed my realtor to bring me rentals to look at. The Arizona I loved and remembered is long gone. The good deal here was a promotion I couldn't get in Fla. That takes one year minimum to hold which will be up on 15 Aug. I spoke to the Director back at Eglin last week and he says I can come home with my promotion any time. He even asked what it would take to buy out my contract out here. I know he has some severe problems that he thinks I am the answer to; however, I am more water baby than desert rat and Bob's problem projects are nothing new. I would look for a spring/summer cruise on Choctawhatchee Bay were I all you southeasters. Jake, S and I had all kinds of plans for renovations before this Az deal came up. I kept the house in Fla. My youngest and his Mom did some of the work before she left so the rest is waiting on our return. I could use that tractor in my landscaping efforts. Want to come east and help??

Wish I had been there. Gray and a bit of rain here... I did bring the boat back up from Tucson yesterday so may get some repairs started soon. We still need a house that will take all the toys. Sure glad I didn't sell the place in Florida. PHXSUX! 8)

You may want to check out the Pan Handle from Pensacola to Panama City. Less expensive, crowded, and a shorter distance to haul the crackheads to the swamp. You would be closer to the BEER cruise and all the Texas stuff is within driving distance. It gets cool but not cold. Once my contract is up out here I am going HOME!! It's too damn cold for me even in Phoenix 8) Note that I didn't even mention the S word!!! I was was born on the east shore of Lake Michigan and I don't do the S word.

OH, that Tx200. I was thinking Texoma or something. Too dry to think well out here. I will sadly miss both this year. If I don't find a house I'll never get out of this RV and never get anywhere!! :'(

Tell me in detail about the machinery and the navigation equipment you propose please. Also communications options, how will you maintain the integrety of the pressure hull with this stuff, and what about the sails? Thanks..

Neat design. Good questions just above. The machinery is the hard part. Ballast tanks, compressors, scavange pumps, fuel storage, O2 management and capacity, battery service and management, that sort of thing. And of course, now where do I put all these sails?
