Brent65 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Fellow Sailors, I'm curious if anyone on the West coast has a Princess Sharpie 22? I would love to look at one before committing to build this awesome little cruising sailboat. I live in Idaho, but am willing to drive anywhere in the West to see one. I had a real nice visit with Chick the other night regarding his experience with a P22 and would love to sit in one to get a better feeling of overall size. Thanks, Brent Quote

jpage Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 The top half of the west side of Vermont, near where I live, abuts Lake Champlain, thus "The West Coast". About 100 miles long and up to 12 miles wide, plenty of room for Princess. Plus canal access to NYC, Montreal, Erie Canal, etc., I won't live long enough to explore it all. Unfortunately all frozen over at the moment (and below zero at the moment, no thaw in sight). Did the ICW from Southport NC to Lake Champlain 2 years ago, nice way to spend a month (not on Princess). Mid-Coast of Maine and Mystic about 6 hours away, Chesapeake and NC sounds within a day's drive. Lots of possibilities. Joel Quote
Ken_Potts Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Your (almost) land-locked West coast seems to have a lot more cruising opportunities than my Indian Ocean West coast. Actually, I guess we have exactly the same number of cruising opportunities but you have more that are within long-weekend reach Quote
