Dose anyone tried a tee top on a Marissa ??. These type of tents are not common in Malta, in fact I have never noticed a boat with it in my country .

I really like its style and I like the fact that there will be no obstructions on the deck .

What are the advantages and disadvantages  ?

Console ready !!

Will attach a curtain around the edge of the opend door and you have a private toilet  ;)

I'll try to find some stainless steal stays to lock the door open and also make a partition (back) between the potty and the fuel tank .

Console looks great Lotus!  I wouldn't want to be sitting on it if the front slammed closed, that's for sure.

In addition to your work, I've been admiring the speed at which you're doing it.  It's probably my inexperience but I do a lot more pondering than actual work.  You know what you want and get it done. This must not be your first build...

Please keep the pictures coming.

Thanks Mike. Today I found some struts that will automatically open the door up as soon as it will be unlocked, so there is no worry that the door will smash some one inside the console   !!

No this is not my first build but besides that my main job is a carpenter so woodworking is very straightforward for me.

Finally its not the speed that matters but the quality in the work !

Ive seen your last photos and its looking great. Are you thinking of some modifications ?! I will do that in every project that I do, would like that little personalisation that makes it different from the rest  ;)

Tomorrow  will began the centre seat

Hi Maltese Marissa 18 builder, ( sorry I don't know your name)  you don't need to explain where Malta is , it is famous !! your Island was awarded the Victoria Cross by the British for services above and beyond during ww2. I love Malta, when I was in the navy I visited your Island a number of times, we played water polo in Valletta harbour. I was a diver in the navy and a lot of the diving instructional films were made in and around Malta , great viz. anyway I would like to congratulate you on your Post, the pictures of your boat are great, it is very encouraging to see someone who has actually taken the step forwards and started to build their own boat and unlike me continue to dream about doing it. I hope you will post more pictures an keep everyone( me ) up to date with your progress. best of luck and thanks Paul (discharged seaman)

Hope that my photos will switch you to start building yours !!. I think that with Graham's detailed plans and some extra photo help its more easier DONE THAN SAID.

At the pace he was going, he's probably completed his boat and is now spending his days bobbing around in the Med too busy to post. :D

Ha ha , good one T.J. but still a long way for that day !

These couple of weeks I was too busy on my work, not alot of spare time for marissa !. But we had flipped it again up side down and glassed it. Next step is a lot of sanding and sanding  :(  !!

will upload some photos soon

Thanks Mike. Yes I built the trailer before flipping the boat for glassing. If you're gona build yours its better to build it before applying

the finish coat as it might be damaged during welding process

Did you use a plan for the trailer?  If so, where did you get it?  If not, do you have any CAD or other design documents that I might be able to have a look at?  I can send my email address if you do.

Thanks!
