  1. Great work Lenm and nice looking console ! Karnic 1851 boats have a center console that can easily accommodate a person under it when opened from the front side . Maybe you can do some google search about it. The front seat of the console can be opened forward with part of the flooring with it
  2. Thanks Riggs. now complete with anchor and navigation lights !
  3. Hi Lenm, only the outer part is boxed to give that 2" thickness. All the rest is 1/2" plywood as you can see in this photo
  4. Radar arch starts to take shape . Custom made out of 1.5" 316 stainless tubing
  5. Thanks Riggs and smccormick ! Cabin upholstered and teak ready to be glued down. Zuki AP is on its way 😉 I'm thinking about some kind of radial arch around the cockpit area. First reason to put vhf antenna ,anchor light and flood light on top of it and second reason is to attach some kind of shading ( canopy ). Still not sure about the design and practicality ! Last photo is what about I'm thinking
  6. Cabin setup ready. Also changed the acrylic sliding door from white to black and added some black touch ups at the console . Automatic trim tabs installed as well. Next step is cabin upholstery . With all that full gloss black at cockpit area , now I'm leaning more towards a black outboard instead of white ! Any suggestion ??
  7. Very nice work Riggs ! I love that console . Maybe you can use 1/2 inch acrylic sheet as hatch covers !
  8. Hi Riggs, the head room inside is just 53" so unfortunately one can not stand up but seated you have around 6" over your head .
  9. Finally started to do some work inside the cabin , seats / bed , storage and 2 steps to enter and exit cabin with 2 cup holders . The step and cup holder unit is removable and accommodate 2 batterers underneath( house and motor ). Don't know if it is the right place for battery position and weight distribution yet ! But think at sturn it is going to be too loaded with main motor , auxiliary motor and possibly a live bait well !
  10. Another update ! Upholstery ready
  11. Thank hightechmarine . I noticed that you did not used the conventional types of trim tabs but those that slide out ( don't know what these are called ) Whats your impression about them ?
  12. I like that transom teak ! Makes the hull so elegant . Nice work smccormick !
  13. Congratulations hightechmarine ! A very nice and well build boat ! Love all the setup Well done once again 😃
  14. I cant figure it out but as a gutter it is too shallow . The gutter would be at least 1" deep and 1" wide with pockets for the water drain fitting
  15. A small update. Console top ( compass holder ) ready and fitted. And a face-lift to the cockpit seat ( bench ) as it looked more like a vintage writing desk than a boat seat !!
  16. Synthetic teak ready ! I went for the King-plank type but but with pointed corners for more modern look . Thanks for all your opinions guys , it made a difference 😉
  17. I made some cardboard drawing for the decking I like the kingplank design and is professional but it looks too classic for this boat The herringebond type looks fine but for some reason I cant place the center line ( where planks meet ) in the center !! Not sure about the other 3 designs 😕 ???
  18. I`ve decided to cover the front deck (passage), the 2 steps and the driving platform with synthetic teak . the advantage over solid wood is its lightness and it is maintenance free ! But still confused which strip direction looks better for my boat !! Any thoughts are much appreciated 😁
  19. Upss , sorry for that !! but I don`t believe you , so I`m gonna continue 😋
  20. Some more updates ! Kiwigrip painted Rear seats sprayed and fitted Floor hatches sprayed and fitted with locks and hinges Whats next ? 😏
  21. And here is my marissa named Piranha With some hull modifications !
  22. Front hatch locking mechanism and hinges . Using a sunroof lock from an old Landrover freelander !! Fortunately this type of lock has stainless steel shaft and springs The hinges are bent to the shape required The hatch door itself is cut from a 10mm acrylic sheet and close on to an 8mm self adhesive D rubber profile
  23. Lots of pipework , lots of thinking ! Looking good Riggs !! 85 gallons ! whats hp are intentioned ?
