  1. Another update ! Upholstery ready
  2. Thank hightechmarine . I noticed that you did not used the conventional types of trim tabs but those that slide out ( don't know what these are called ) Whats your impression about them ?
  3. I like that transom teak ! Makes the hull so elegant . Nice work smccormick !
  4. Congratulations hightechmarine ! A very nice and well build boat ! Love all the setup Well done once again 😃
  5. I cant figure it out but as a gutter it is too shallow . The gutter would be at least 1" deep and 1" wide with pockets for the water drain fitting
  6. A small update. Console top ( compass holder ) ready and fitted. And a face-lift to the cockpit seat ( bench ) as it looked more like a vintage writing desk than a boat seat !!
  7. Synthetic teak ready ! I went for the King-plank type but but with pointed corners for more modern look . Thanks for all your opinions guys , it made a difference 😉
  8. I made some cardboard drawing for the decking I like the kingplank design and is professional but it looks too classic for this boat The herringebond type looks fine but for some reason I cant place the center line ( where planks meet ) in the center !! Not sure about the other 3 designs 😕 ???
  9. I`ve decided to cover the front deck (passage), the 2 steps and the driving platform with synthetic teak . the advantage over solid wood is its lightness and it is maintenance free ! But still confused which strip direction looks better for my boat !! Any thoughts are much appreciated 😁
  10. Upss , sorry for that !! but I don`t believe you , so I`m gonna continue 😋
  11. Some more updates ! Kiwigrip painted Rear seats sprayed and fitted Floor hatches sprayed and fitted with locks and hinges Whats next ? 😏
  12. And here is my marissa named Piranha With some hull modifications !
  13. Front hatch locking mechanism and hinges . Using a sunroof lock from an old Landrover freelander !! Fortunately this type of lock has stainless steel shaft and springs The hinges are bent to the shape required The hatch door itself is cut from a 10mm acrylic sheet and close on to an 8mm self adhesive D rubber profile
  14. Lots of pipework , lots of thinking ! Looking good Riggs !! 85 gallons ! whats hp are intentioned ?
  15. Thanks guys ! And here are some risky drilling ! should have been made before spray painting in case of any accident but fortunately all went fine 😀
  16. Some little more progress !
  17. Seating mechanism worked perfectly ! I am very satisfied with the result 😀 20180529_112534.mp4
  18. And she's in mini skirt 😉
  19. A A plastic or pvc angle will work just the same , or even better because it is easier to trim . I removed the strakes from the mold and tacked them to the hull at about 24hr later. At that time the epoxy fill is still very flexible to bent , and at front there is some bent to do. So they cured and hardened following the bent of the boat . After another 24 hr. I removed the screws , glued them with thickened epoxey and re screwed the screws in there original holes . This was a very straightforward job ! Hope this will help 🙂
  20. Thanks smccormick, was too busy with other projects , and the weather was not favorable too !
  21. Riggs, I used a very simple method to build the lifting strakes. It is detailed in my OC20 tread at pg.6 BTW nice work on your OC20b
  22. Time for some filling and sanding , after a 5 month break !!
