Oyster
We thought about you yesterday as we ventured out onto the waters. A great time was had by me and mamma.. It could not have been any better. No one was in sight for miles around us. [want more shots]HEHE! We backed right up to the beach and stepped onto the sands and made new foot prints in your honor. I hope you are doing well in your new digs and location. Stay safe and come home soon. We wish you happiness for years to come.
Ken_Potts
Ahoy Cap'n Oyster! I got home just in time to toast the new year. Now the real work begins (what to crate and what to sell).
Ken_Potts
It turns out there are pretty boats everywhere.
Ken_Potts
The possums down there are cuter than ours.
Ken_Potts
Another possum photo...
Peter HK
The possums down there are cuter than ours Except when they make a home in your boat (stored in a then not completely possum proof shed). Bit of a surprise when I came to go sailing and he crawled through the open inspection port into one of the buoyancy tanks on my Folding Schooner
Oyster
Great to see you are moving ahead, as I take it things went well. Keep all the possums you wish though, and even take the ones from here with you. Yuke,! I have never seen a cute one.
Ken_Potts
Peter - I wonder how the possum would have reacted if you had pressed him into service swabbing the decks... Oyster - How about quokkas... Are these guys cute enough for you?

paul_stewart
The possums down there are cuter than ours. Yes but are they as delicious ?
Ken_Potts
Wow! I'm glad you asked, Paul - I can't believe I've still never eaten possum! It's on the list now for things to do before I go. I'm not sure if Australian possums are considered food. What do you think Peter?
ChrisObee
The possums down there are cuter than ours. Yes but are they as delicious ? Mmmmm..... Quokka.... http://blog.littlevoices.com/2007/08/quokka-kiev.html
Peter HK
I can't believe I've still never eaten possum! It's on the list now for things to do before I go. I'm not sure if Australian possums are considered food. What do you think Peter? I have to admit I have eaten possum once and don't intend to again :puke_right: This was in a famous restaurant in Adelaide where the chef, of asian background, is renowned for serving "unusual" courses. It was very gamey. They are protected as an endangered species on mainland Australia but not so in Tasmania where they are farmed and apparently fed on apples and other fruits to make the meat more palatable. I'm not sure they succeed :? Cheers Peter HK
Ken_Potts
Mmmmm..... Quokka.... Yeah, but is it worth the $40,000? I have to admit I have eaten possum once and don't intend to again It sounds like your possums are cuter and ours are tastier - I'll report back when I have more data... paul_stewart
For your dining pleasure, may I suggest you skip directly to shrimp on the barbie. Goes well with beer.
Ken_Potts
They have a big, pretty bridge in Sydney. I climbed up to the top of it with my lady and asked her a very important question. She said yes
Michael_H
Congratulations, Ken, I hate to lose a sailing pal but I'm really glad to see you happy. Of course, this means I have to start saving nickels to find a flight, but I think I can do it!
Ken_Potts
Hey Mike - Wanna buy a boat?!? You don't have to save up for the ticket if you stow away in the shipping container. Come on down and hang out for a while - Once you're ready to go home we'll get you deported. Just in case Australian Immigration is reading this - I'm joking 8)
