You know that it is going to be a good day when your builder calls and says that "if she floats any better he wouldn't be able to stand it".

Here is our latest center console 28' sport fisherman to hit the water.

She is built with a plywood bottom and cedar strip planked sides under the eagle eye of our long time associate, Buck Wilde at a Down East builder.

She is sweet looking, and I did not know he was doing power boats either, but am not surprised.  This design looks like it would do well here in the Great Lakes region.

Graham, do you have a catalog of designs I have yet to see?  If so, please share them.

I think the largest to date is a 67 footer.  All the bigger ones are Carolina style offshore fishermen although at least one was done for done for a rich guy as pleasure plaything.  There are a couple of neat smaller boats of 18 feet up, including a nice lobsterboat.

He would have another smaller one to show in this style if he would remember us little hull guys now and get to cutting the jigs.  [tongue planted firmly against check] Yes he has become quite a guy with the outerbanks builders!!!!  Thats one heck of a boat, and I hope mine will turn out as nice. People have no idea how much time is required in hours of rubbing, in turn dollars to get such a shape to such a high level of finish work. Look closely at the curved step all the way around the interior of the hull running foward.

We could have a pool on the top speed when it goes for sea trials.  Those are 300hp juggernauts hooked on the tail.

That is an absolutely beautiful hull, Graham. Sweet tumblehome aft and good looking chines. Functional spray rail under the flare and nice freeboard. That boat sums up function with balance and some sweet lines. Congratulations on your design. I love it.

I have been too busy to put any power boats on the web site but here are a couple of my smaller boats.

The center console is 20' and the first one is built and will be launched soon.

The lobster boat was originally designed at 22' and was then stretched to 24' but Chick Ludwick who built Princess 22 #1 wanted a 20

which is very close to being launched.

Hi Graham

I hate to admit this - but having spent the weekend out on the Hauraki Gulf with my wife on a friends 35ft powerboat ( this link show the actual boat he ended up with http://www.windhawk35.com/Default.asp?page=23  ) - and seeing how much more my wife enjoyed herself (and the 'comfort')  - I have found myself looking at powerboat plans.  Do you have any plans for anything similar to Tom Lathrop's Bluejacket that would be suitable for the more open waters of the Hauraki Gulf (or any suggestions of anything to look at.)

And mine refuses to GET onto a power boat, without serious coaxing.

There's a 25 foot Searay with a 225 Mercruiser sitting in our boat storage that hasn't been used in 4 years. Bad days for trying to sell it though :-\
