Really glad you only got the remnants of the storm.  The real thing could have really played havic with your shed and boat.  That boat look big from that angle, will I guess it is pretty big.

  Gale force winds this past week did in my boat shed.

If nothing else, I'm making progress in building temporary shelters.

This time combining the wood framing with a wooden ridge and the pvc tubing in an arc to hold the tarp out. That's snow, we got a light dusting this morning.

Hi Norm - It is an adventure all right. I noticed your protective mask etc. and remembered how I was ticked off by a business associate who supplies epoxy products for the building industry, for being slack with handling epoxy. He said very few amateurs like us appreciate the health danger because it does not smell all that bad. In fact you can develop a severe reaction without warning. He knows of workers who have had to re-train and leave the industry for good. The boat looks terrific and it is such a good feeling to know that it will soon be the real thing.

Should be a white Christmas in Ipswich this year. Ten inches last evening, more coming for tomorrow night.

  Spring has sprung in Ipswich. Beautiful day today. Rain for the weekend

Have been able to work on the princess only a little. Portholes are cut out, don't like the idea of putting foam under the cockpit sole, so I've come up with another solution. Younger brother has been searching Craigs list. Found a free boat and trailer. Boat's junk but the trailer will work great

I want to toss in my 2cents worth of encouragement.  Your photos show a lot of good work and plenty of can-do determination.  Very impressive.  BTW, the snow photos and the shed damage by the gail force winds made be realize that I deserved a good dope slap for each of those times I ever complained about building CS20 #103 is a cramped basement space; plus there were two of us. [insert dope slap here] 

You are clearly un-stoppable.  I know you're going to have a beautiful boat sailing this summer.

  We have had a beautiful week here in Ipswich. Warm enough to epoxy outside. Made some time to work on the Princess. Cockpit sole installed. Seat tops on. Hatches laid out, first one under way. And the easy/narrow aft/side decks are sealed and glassed. Here's some pics.

  Enjoying the weather and making progress. Side decks are glassed forward to the front of the cabin. Made the first of four hatches. Then discovered that 6 ounce glass is thicker than the saw kerf so some adjusting is needed. Glad I didn't jump ahead and try to do all the hatches at once. Here's a couple pics.

  Thanks for the encouragement. We're actually having a very nice May. Warm enough to epoxy outside. Tree pollen that brings tears to the eyes. But I'm coping.

  All the decks now glassed, mostly weave filled too, but not all. Progress continues in the cockpit. Hatches all cut. Transom glassed. Hatch gutters started. And since I'm doing this with the fun in the forefront, and not worrying about time, I'm building them in the boat one piece at a time. Such fun Here's some pics.

Looking great, Norm! I'm at the same point with my CS20 right now. Put primer on today (see my Hull #102 thread for a pic). I'm using the Systems 3 stuff too, and really loving how easy it is to use.

I didn't realize you were shooting for a July 4th launch date. We were, too, originally, but like you, we also pushed ours back a month. I've got the next two weeks off from the university, so I'm hoping to finish before I go back. Still have to put the finish paint on the interior, install the deck, and build the masts. But I have everything on hand now, so may be able to pull it off if nothing else comes up to get in the way.

I managed some more time with the Princess today. Painting is practically complete.

Hope I'm getting UV protection. The orcas white is very bright in the sun. So to ease eye strain in the cockpit I blended some mercer green in to make a very pleasant surf green.

Things always come up in my life. I've got three days work left but it will take the next two weeks to happen. The trailer needs a couple parts ordered, maybe five hours of time. And I need to register with the state. Those are my two big hurdles remaining. The masts will go back into the steps this weekend. Maybe some pictures of my sails on them next time.
