Greg Luckett Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Both Sam and Ben have trouble using my PC since the school they go to uses only Apple type systems. We plan to have another PC set up for them within the next month which will allow each of them to have regular access. Sam started a reply to your msg and then managed to reboot the PC....LOL. He will try again when he stops hiding from Dad...he thinks he broke my PC, I think. Quote
Greg Luckett Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Dragon sat in the back yard for the last couple of years and last year her dragon head was broken off, mysteriously. Sam and Ben got her uncovered and set up next to the shop and her head is now reattached with some reinforcement. She should be ship shape by tomorrow but the boys have pretty much outgrown Dragon, however the grand children are the right size and age now. I will post some pics tomorrow. Quote

Tomorrow, weather permitting, Dragon will get a washing and then a repainting/touchup of the hull and dragon head. Ben and Sam are planning to sew a new sail for her too, but this time from canvess rather than tarp material. I am not convinced that this is a good idea, but it is their boat to do what they like with. Quote

Greg Luckett Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 The boys were working some more on Dragon and I coerced them into a few pics. As you can see they have grown a great deal and are a bit more ornery. The old sail and lines are pretty much shot, so Sam cleared them off the spars and mast, and Ben is washing them down now as I post this. Ben is hot to trot to splash Dragon again but we will not have an opportunity to do so for a couple of weeks. Quote

Greg Luckett Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Both boys want to build a Diva kayak for each of them this winter. We have an Oday10 that needs a little bit of work but it is almost ready to splash, as well. We are thinking of taking several of the boats and a canoe down to a local lake and having water balloon and squirt gun fights. That may have to wait till Labor Day weekend as we are traveling a lot this month too. Quote

Greg Luckett Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Yeah, it does Oyster. Scary how fast time is slipping by and the little guys are so big now. Sam's shoe size is 11-1/2 and Ben's is 11. I wear an 11. Where are Alexander and Laura? Not a peep from either one in a while and I had hoped they might respond to this thread. We hope to have a Luckett family Mess About on Labor Day weekend and float the fleet of boats sitting around in the boat yard. Quote

My oldest and his brothers enjoyed a simple plywood wood and now being the only one of my youngens married has also began to break his young in on the smallest of all hulls the boat cradle.
