This is not cast in concrete yet so if you are interested please see my post on the BYYB Board and chime in. I can use and welcome ideas for destinations and events. I have been contemplating a spring trip to the gulf, and joining up with other like minded souls would nearly double the fun. If people are interested a rendezvous at Kentuckly Lake come June or September would be fun too. Quote

Either date; more chance of actually seeing me with a boat in Sept, but a June messabout might be motivating. If this gets started, I'd be glad to help out if I can. The initial intent was to form a BYYB fleet at then same time as the open invitation cruise. The jury is still out on that one; however, there is a good response to the cruise idea. The GRITS group puts on a vary nice cruise with a lot of first night events at the launch marina. This is also a possible. I am compiling a list of interested Captains who will make the ultimate choice on destinations and cruising rouits soon. Thisnk for the interest and the link. V/r Craig [/i] Quote

I think the bridges around your bay are too low for my 53' of "air draft" with the mast of Day's Dream. Sorry I will miss the event, but I'll be there in spirit. Steve Quote

Bob Taylor Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 OK Craig, I was looking at some pictures last night from a TDY I had some 20 years ago to Tyndall AFB and found a few from a trip on a pontoon boat some of us rented. We were in a waterway just south of the base marina and there were dolphins all around us. Two of them came right up to the boat looking for a handout. I then realized that I NEED to go back and spend some time there. You pick the time frame, venues and layover spots and I'm there!!! Maybe John down here in Houston will be finished with his boat by then? How about it John? Sugar sand beaches, emerald water, refreshing adult beverages, pilaging..............who could pass this up????? Quote

I'm definitely up for the Kentucky thing, but not in Mid may. That's right in the middle of finals and commencement and all that academic stuff that nails me right to the floor. Would have to be on into the summer for me. But that's a personal problem... Quote
