I hadn't planned on any more than a semi-gloss workboat style finish and I reassured her that Graham's design is as steady as rock - wouldn't take water over the rail and she could knit while we sailed it!! It is a teflon loaded epoxy coating. The part that I got sanded is super slick, in fact it is as slick as I always imagined greased lightning to be. Devlin talks a little about epoxy bottom coatings in his book, but most of them contained antifouling agents. Time will tell but I think I will really like the stuff it is super hard and slick. What type of paint is it that you put on. We wouldn't get the same brand out here but probably much the same. I have just had a paint supply shop open next door to mine, and they sell all the various brands of marine finishes Quote
