Extremely cool!  I had no idea what Alan was up to.  I knew he was an accomplished racer, but had no idea he could lead a trip like this!  The 'rents must be proud.

The Rhodes Reliant 41 is probably my all time favorite plastic blue water cruising boat.  Everyone has their own opinion of absolute beauty with function.  This is mine.  Looks like an interesting educational endeavor.  Thanks for the introduction and links.

In the Vandemere - Oriental - New Bern neighborhood:

The EYE crew and their Rhodes Reliant yawl entered the Bay River at ~4:40 pm today (Nov 5th).  

They are sailing/motoring south down the ICW from Hampton Roads, VA, and will pause for a day this weekend in New Bern, NC.    Then on down the ICW.  No doubt the recent cooler weather is giving them plenty of incentive to hurry on down to Florida.
