Charlie Jones Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Howdy folks. First time I've had internet in quite a while, so I thought I'd say Hi. Tehani is tied up in a friends slip at the Gulfport Yacht Club, Gulfport Texas. We are sitting in the new clubhouse (wow) rebuilt after Katrina destroyed the old one. Probably stick around here til Monday morning, then start east again- Laura wants to visit Ship Island before we head further east, so we'll probably head out there on Monday- then on to Passcagoula for more visiting. Been retired now 3 weeks as of tomorrow Tough life but somebody has to do it Having a ball at any rate- more when I get another chance. Quote

Gulfport was my home for three years, where I was first married, and my eldest son was born at Biloxi. I like the Mississippi Sound and the folks that live around Gulfport too, and still have friends there. Next trip south I plan to visit there too. Quote

Glad to hear your cruise is going well Charlie. Strong winds make you go fast, but be careful of the overly strong ones that occur this time of year. I cut my summer cruise short to let Bill get by. Doesn't look like we (southern New Englanders) will get hit, but close enough to be careful. Looking forward to future updates and pictures. Quote

DISTELTK Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Not to worry about days or time.I've been retired for 13 years. Morning is when the sun comes up. Evening is when the sun goes down. Sunday the comic are ussually a separate section and in color. My pension and Soc Sec are deposited. I don't use a watch or calender. Occasionally a watch when SWHMBO says to be home at a specified time. Tom D. Quote
