The location is Prelude Lake in Northwest Territories The water temperature is about 15 to 18 degree celcius. And Lay off the flag LOL ;D Quote

Remove the lashing from the mast to the outer end of the boom. If you don't have one make an outhaul to tension the sail ( see Franks site for examples) and fly her loose footed. That will restore the shape at the foot and give a bit more power to the rig. Pull the outhaul tension up for strong winds and ease it out for weak. The light winds need a more wing shape to the sail then stronger winds. Plus you'll like the looks of the loose foot more. Quote

We should have 2-3 Weekenders, and 1 Vacationer sailing / messingabout, on Great Slave Lake in Yellowknife, Monday afternoon. I should have been there, I'm stuck in Eastern Arctic waiting for weather to improve to fly home. My son has my Vacationer out with the fleet. I hope to be back in time for the post sailing BBQ, and sailing tales. Greg Quote
