Jeff I think you had a much rougher time of it than I did on the water. That is quite the hole in your boat. I'm glad you and the boat made it back safe. To your question both motors are fine. The gas motor only lost it's handle. At the time I thought the pull rope had broke off and went back into the motor. As for the damage to the rudder box you can see the epoxy patch already in place just a little paint and she is ready to go.

Temptress is launched at Deam lake in southern IN. She did fine floated straight no leaks. I did however have some trouble. The motor stopped, poor wiring on my part. I repaired that this morning. And my jib line was twisting and causing me tacking problems. The rope I am using is from R&W rigging, it is a synthetic hemp. Looks great on the boat but I may change that one line so it can run through the blocks easier. This was my wife's first real sailing experience, although we had some problems I think she may go out with me again. Thanks to everyone for all the help and support over the past two and a half years. I may not have finished if it were not for you folks on this site. Thanks Gregg

Thanks everyone for the information. I plan to re-attach the foot I cut off the bottom of the mast and use epoxy in the holes for the spreader. I will post pictures of the boat as soon as I can get her out of the garage. Thanks again Gregg

Thanks, I know many people have spreaders just like this one on their boat. On your shrouds, how is yours set up? Is there one thimble at the top? Or do you separate them at the spreader with two thimbles? Thanks, Gregg
