Steve Day
Howdy Y'all, I know I haven't been on the forum much lately, but what little spare time I have had has been invested in the little Garvey that I have built. It is now ready for the water and I expect to have it floating sometime tomorrow. Here are a few shots of the boat resting on its trailer for your enjoyment. I know it is not a sailboat, but I wanted something to explore the rivers around here that went a little faster than my Spindrift. I expect this one to do a little better than 20 kts. Hopefully, this boat will do that. It is also configured to be towed behind the big boat when we sail locally. Steve
lewisboats
Looks like a nice, clean and quick build...Bravo! I expect you to do well over 20 kts...I was clocked at 23 mph with a 9.5 in my little 10 footer with about the same amount of deadrise. Steve Day
We put the boat in the water today and she floats! Here are a couple of shots of the boat and me on the water. BTW, we did not get any water or spray in the boat running around at speed on 1' chop. She will do 19+ knots with three folks in the boat. Great boat!!
