Frank Hagan Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 I think he's been around gaffers ... is that a gaff vang he's drawn (never seen a flag flying from it, but there are two of them back there). Gaff vangs are unusual enough that I suspect he's either been around gaffers, or has been around model builders who build historical models. I had reduced it enough so that it wouldn't be usable by anyone. I of course meant, if it were to actually be reproduced for anything "real", that permission would be sought... I've wanted to come out with messing-about tees, but so far have been unable to corner my sister (an artist in her own right) into making me a design that would work well. Maybe we should run a contest here or something. Have to think of an appropriate prize. Quote

Image information: Front and/or Back: 8 x 10 (more vertical) or 10 x 8 (more horizontal) Alternate front: 6 x 6 image over pocket area Resolution: 100 - 300 dpi There are a number of tees available, white, ash grey, and long sleeve. There's also a polo shirt the image can go on. Submit artwork to: frankhagan@ev1.net That's an email I set up just for this kind of thing, not my "normal" email. By entering, you're agreeing that messing-about.com can use the image on tee or polo shirts for sale to its members (more than one type of shirt is offered as above). Its "non-exclusive use," meaning that you retain all other rights to use the image as you see fit. So if you strike it famous, you can sell the design to someone else. Please submit only items you have the rights to, that generally means something you created yourself. Also, for those of you thinking about incorporating the site's motto into a tee shirt, note that the quote from "The Wind in the Willows" is in the public domain and can be used freely. BUT the images from any of the books are not, so don't submit "Ratty" and "Mole" drawings from the book, even if you modify them electronically. You can, of course, create your own original artwork using your interpetation of "Ratty" and "Mole" without any problem.
