Hi Everyone

I am interested in a princess 26 , but in talking with my brother [ who has signed on as partner  ] a plan has taken hold.

Build a cs 17 kit , get practice with fiberglas ect.  then start the princess

We end up with a day sailer to mess about with while the bigger project in being worked on and we will have some exp with glass and glue , not to mention putting things together

the kit will go faster , i think and when the princess starts to drive us nuts we can take a afternoon off and go sailing to remind our selves why we started this whole thing.

Plus ' she who most be obeyed " likes the sound of it.

what does everyone think , things to add to CS 17 design , tools I can't live without , tools I can live without books i can't live without

have a big  concrete floored building - came with the house aprox  38 ft deep and 36 wide

no heat - need to be able to move motorcycles out side - end of April

CS-17 practice act sounds good to me. My captain has finally figured out that every boat I build is a practice act, since before all the epoxy totally cures on a boat I'm messing around with another bunch of boat parts.  Go for it! Might want to do a pair of CS-17s, then you and bro can race them!

  You've got permission and space to build two boats.  What more do you need?

  If you're using the CS17 as a daysailor and the princess as an overnighter you won't go wrong by building the CS17 kit exactly to plans.

  Admit it - You're going to build those boats side-by-side, aren't you? :cool:

A hardy amen to disgusted snort of envy.  My garage is too small for my PS26 project.  I am prefabbing as much as I can and will have to find a place to eventually go 3D, probably late this summer (La Conner, Washington). 

I have a website under construction and intend to post construction progress/photos that may be of interest to other PS26 builders.

I don't want to get this thread hijacked-  but did I just read that someone's going to build a PS26 and post pictures?!!  Bill, I'd be forever in your debt.  Please keep us posted.
