That was the plan, but there are some "leaks" in the design, along with some other issues. If We keep her long enough for it to need replacement, I'll use a different canvas shop. Bruce Kershaw Posted November 2, 2008 Author Posted November 2, 2008 How do you like the Yamaha engine? 220 hrs. without a problem. 8) "Sea Critter I" had a Yamaha 90 2-stroke, with about 400 hrs. on it when I sold it. Never a problem there, either. I'm definitely a Yamaha Man. Outboards, motorcycles, (In my dirt bike days.) guitars... (Back when I tried to learn how to play.) If they ever go into the car business, I'll certainly give them a look. They did have some serious problems with their big "High Pressure -Direct Injection" 2-stroke outboards a few years back... but I never had one of em. Charlie Jones Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Our 8 HP Yamaha 4 stroke has been to Florida 1 1/2 times ( bought it half way back one trip) and around here, flawlessly, for three years now without missing a beat. Something like 1600-1800 ICW miles now. I'm sold. Quote

LOL! It's been around. I put a small copy up on my brothers refrigerator when no one was looking. After three or four days, his 16 yr. old son finally asked him, "Dad, does that have to be up there?" I had a full-page copy up on the wall at the shop. One of our vendors saw it as he walked by. Stopped, looked for a second and asked... "Beagle?" Shook his head affirmatively, and kept walking. Konrad gave it the title "K-9 Starfish". Kinda fits him. Don't you think? ;D Quote
