Joel Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 Finished the rub rails,companion way seat, sliding hatch and drop board, installed the hand rails, port holes, and made the rudder box. installed the radio and power panel The rudder box is made of HDPE (like UV stabilized cutting board material) Cut patterns out of left over plywood then copied with the router and pattern bit. The interior and trim are great, and the tiller head proportions are among the best I've seen for the design. But I have question that I know a lot of other people really want to ask but are too embarrassed. Where are you really building that boat? ;D There has to be somewhere, a room, a shed, something, where you are building her -- you know, with tools and sawdust and paint drips -- and then dragging her into that immaculate garage to take the pictures. Joel Posted May 31, 2008 Author Posted May 31, 2008 I got her on the trailer today with the help of a few friends. It went really well, just jacked up the front and slid her on. The tongue was very heavy so I moved the axle forward 1 foot. Thats as far as it can go before the bend in the frame starts. It seems a little better now. At least I can lift the tongue. I will have to get a scale and check the actual weight.
