A good place to procure epoxy is Clark Craft. They have a 1 to 1 mix ratio, no amine blush, no sanding between coats, low viscosity for easy wet-out and with longer working time. The prices are very good, 5 gals for $216.00 (43.20/gal.) plus shipping. I have used this product for a number of years and I really like it. The price does vary depending on number gals. ordered. They also have most items needed for the boating world. Just thought you would like to know.

What is the shelf life of unmixed epoxy components?

Virtually unlimited. The hardeners will darken over time. WEST slow for instance becomes a really beautiful deep purple. But it still works just fine.

Having said that, if I was starting a new project, I'd get new hardener, just for the color if nothing else.

But I've used epoxy that was 10 years old- still worked just fine.

And if the resin crystalizes, just warm it up to about 100 or so and it will clear right up.
