I sent an e-mail to one of the administrators this morning. The message has changed a couple of times since it was hacked. Bummer!

Richard Norman is working on getting the BYYB site back up but I have no idea when it will be.

Par, in the unfotunately unlikely event that the scumbag who hacked the byyb site were to be revealed, i wouldnt lose any sleep in order to "pay a late night visit". i'd bet he has plenty of neighbors who would thoroughly enjoy seeing him get a good a$$whoopin right in the middle of the street. i'd even bet that the loser is still living with his mother and she might even get a little guilty pleasure from it.

Thanks for the kind comments and concern about the BYYB site. Like yourself, I am unable to access the site. Captn Jake did write me this morning, and I immediately forwarded his message to Richard Norman, the BYYB webmaster.

Its a constant battle if you have any kind of forums, photo albums, etc., as these guys do Google searches for versions of software they know they can deface. That's one of the reasons I update the underlying software on this site whenever updates come out, and have removed the version number from all the scripts that I can edit.

Other times its someone else on the same shared server, and the server's security is breached. Not fun to restore a site; often you lose everything and have to start over.

Malice was the intent - and against who? a bunch of boat builders? - random acts of malice are the worst sort.

Richard has some forums back up at the site, so all the regular contributors should log in there and re-register to help show your support. It will probably mean a lot to him as he goes through the hard work of rebuilding the site from the ground up.
