Yes thats right, I need a concrete date of any boat related function like wooden boat shows, messabouts, and flea markets, and etc. no matter what area of the world these will be taking place in during 2005. With my new fancy calendar, I can put these dates in the appropiate days and month, instead of searching around the net, magazines, and forums looking for these events. See I am a simple guy, combining all of this stuff in one place, for this fellow that has a bad tendancy to get a little sidetracked and forgetful, as I get older.

Heck if you are that close, Ken, that would be a great place for a good old fashion, what is known as an "Elbow Bending Symposium" of the Messingabout group. If we plan ahead of time, we could pull it off. Have cooker, big enough for 100 folks, and free to travel. 8) Plan ahead and it could be possible. Wasn't it held there last year, too?

yeah, oyster, it was in Newport last year, different area. I was surprised to see here again. I went to check it out, but to be honest, it wasnt something i would have recommended anyone go too far out of their way to see. I enjoyed it very much, but i think i might have been disappointed had I travelled far to see it. maybe im spoiled, inlanders who are really starved for good old fashioned wooden boats would probably appreciate it more.

Well, I am not much on too many shows and the crowds. But as you say, there are many people that go and gawk as if the boats are something from out of space. I mostly go with some aquaintainces, as I know my port from my startboard. But its just an excuse to get together with some like minds, too, with the Elbow part of it. Well we shall see, as I travel on short notice, most of the times, too. Njght.

I knew there were shows I had never heard of, and here there are some more. Frank, I like the idea of having a calendar on here to show them all and where they are.

That one Bill is talking about is about a 7 hour drive for me, not counting the time struggling through Chicago's traffic problems. The one in Newport looks interesting to me too. Soooo many to chose from, so little time and resources, but wow, when I really retire I am going to get a motor home and start the circuit.
