Hmm, I like it. I have cleats in the rear and also amidship. I had contemplated shocl cod at teh amidship cleats, though this seems as though it would not be so much in the way.

I have almost all of the things taken care of. Cheap, simple and fast. They don't look too bad either. Hardest one is the trailer. I have to re-configure the foward support and winch, as the dolphin striker became a Capt Jake striker during loading. Stil working on it; I have several pieces welded together. Need some more bolts, so tommorrow will tell.

Funny, we didn't read about THAT in the launch day narrative you gave! Now I wonder how much else you edited out ...

Actually, launching it was pretty easy. We noticed the interference, so I lowered the winch that night.

Now retrieval was a different story! Balancing on the tongue with shoulder inder theh striker, trying to lift it up and over the winch.

I will end up separating the forward stop from the winch. Move the winch back to it's original location and lower and lengthen the forward stop. Should solve the problem.

While many of us are a little behind you in construction, we would love to hear some of the specifics of your punchlist - my interest in particular is what length was your tiller and what will you cut it back to?
