Kudzu Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 If you use good plywood, such as Baltic Birch then you can drive the screws into the ply. Most plywood would not hold but the BB and most marine grades are good quality and will hold the screws no problem. Quote
Hirilonde Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Drill pilot holes into the keel stringer (diameter of the screw minus the threads). This will reduce compressing the wood out from the screw and splitting it. Quote
