    earth day

I don't think of my self as extremely green but look at it this way. The earth is not a gift from your parents but a loan from your children. Now the ball is in your court, play as you wish. Bud
  3. If you are going to row the weekender for a couple of hours, drop your sail about 100 or 200 yds from the dock this should get you about two hours of rowing. Bud
  4. I have used RAKA for years. It is the best fit for me.Good folks good prices good service and and good product. It may br a littler thiner but it goes further. Something left unsead is they may care about the small boat builder. Go for it. Bud
  5. Bruce I want even reply to this B/s So here is mine may you never want for a drink of RUM, or a friend to share it with. Merry Christmas. Bud. ( not approved by any one but me)
  6. Konrad No more worries after worring about you all night, today it came to me with a ding ding ding ding. All you need to do is put a new battery in your hearing aid. Hearing aids all ding like that when the bettery is getting low. No need to send me any gifts or anything just glad to help. Bud.
  7. Konrad start acting like you enjoy it, like shake your head and pat your foot. It will go away. If it is not agervating you it has no reason to stay. Bud
  8. If you want to varnish, varnish if you want to sail ,sail. Frank hit the nail square on the head in the last six words of his post "And I have very little brightwork" Bud
  9. The treatment for turning grey bright work back to it's natural color is sand paper. then a couple coats of epoxy then a couple coats of cetal. It want be as slick as varnish but it will out last it by a long shot and the uv (sun) wont cook it off. Bud
  10. Bruce I have seen the photo's of Konrads boat and pet. Konrad has a pet camel and his boat name is Humping to Please. Bud
  11. Rebagging and toss in the cabin is the best option you have been offered. Don't even let it touch the battery box. Get some good lugs and getting it off or down is no problem. Bud.
  12. Lewis Don't worry about the mule, just load the wagon  Bud
  13. Konrad Wake up and smell the flowers. Stimulas money is to make jobs. If your company uses all outside help and it is not going to ad any jobs you don't need the money. Go no futher so I don't post the rest of the story. Bud.
  14. Ok Craig It is very seldom I get to correct anyone on there spelling as mine is so poor. But if you are going to live here. The Proper way to spell Y'ALL. is Y'ALL. Swim as fast as you can. Y'ALL COME. Hug Sara Lee for me. Bud
  15. Craig I know you are qualifed hillbilly rednedk that is why I said your heart is in the south and so is Sara Lee's I am looking forward to your return. love and kisses Bud
  16. Konrad I don't know what happened to my post probaly something I did wrong. No matter. Craig signed up for this two years stint in the south west to see the country and enjoy the climant. When he get his two years in and has enjoyed as mudh as he can stand he will be back to where he is ment to be. I think he was born a hooser but his heart is in the south and his a$$ belongs here. How you like me know. Bud
  17. I don't know what happened to my last post. I posted five that I have seen, two I have sailed on. at one time we had four in the South East Fleet, and a picture of John's In the chessy fleet is on this month calender. But don't worry Konrad you are still different. Bud.
  18. My two cents worth. Over the years I have had a lot of outboard motors. I have five sitting in my boat shed as we chat. My thought is get one that you can get worked on in your area. They all break sometimes and if you can't get parts it is a hassle. I like the Johnson - Evenrude mayber becaused I was raised with one and we had a shop that sold them about 200 yds. from the slip. I like the 4hp. johnsons I have because the gas tank is not on the motor top. My Bay Hen has a well and the Motors I have with gas tank ontop make me get the tiller up higher than I like. Old men are cranky like that. Bud
  19. My daughter called me last night and said they only had about a 4foot surge at shady side MD. Maybe Ray will be alright. Bud :painting:
  20. You guys may have already done this but to extend pot life of epoxy in hot weather I bought some cheap plastic flower pot sausers to let it spread out more, and I have even set the saucer in a bowl of ice this will help some. Bud
  21. Jim Quit beating yourself over the head. To soon old Yes To late smart No. First you have done a lot of fact finding in a very short perion of time. Second and most important this $hit can happen to us all. Welcome to Trailer Sailors. This is the price you have to pay for the ability to go where you want with your boat. It is worth every cent. Bud :painting:
  22. OK Par you can jump on this like a chicken on a June bug. Bud
  23. Jim First of all let me say, I am not a fan of surge brakes. My guess is the breaks came on and never released. Surge brakes can be a pain in the but if they get out of adjustment. I beleave I would take to a good shop and have the thing checked out and repared. I would also have the bearings and axle checked and repacked. If you can find out where your local U haul has there repair done a lot of there trailors have surge brakes. Bud
  24. Gregg Kydockfrog may not show , but I would like some info on this function. I am less than 300mi. away and I have pulled futher. There is no use racing a P/C but I would like to attend the function. Please send me some info Bud.
  25. HANKD I guess you are right, if the mast didn't make you use the moning chair you don't need one (YET). I am old and need one quite often just to sit in have a drink look at my mess up wonder "what the hell made me do that" Bud
