Cool idea, didn't see it....

I could cut some holes in the plywood to get rid of some weight...... This is what i'm talking about....cruise around a lake road, to the boat launch, at 15 mph no problem....

Good idea....Let me throw in my 2 pennies worth,colapsabel version: Between the forms: You have the axel with a pvc spacer keeping the forms spread appart...The 2 at the top could be pvc foam wraped spacers with removal rods also so it could be taken apart, colapsabel ...The top two rods would probably need to be threaded to stiffen up the structure...For two boats add a center form.. For wheels I used old push lawn mower tires, I can slide a 1/2'' rod through them....

That is pretty cleaver and will be hard to beat. Nice and lighweight too. I could make one a little wider and add a center post then place two boats on edge. Hummmm...... Just have to strap both bow handles together and take off....

Ha..Ha.. We are on the same basic wavelength..Imagine that....You feel like a fish out-of-water when you can't be kayaking to? I made mine a few years ago, it comes apart and packs into the Pirogue I used.... For a second kayak, I would add T's and make 2 U shaped supports that could be added after the first kayak is strapped on....

This thing about petrol, and battery powered boats got me into paddling power....My first boat I built was a Jetski powered runabout that literally drank gasoline, draining the piggy bank ......It is bad enough to support the oil ind. to get to the water in the first place! I cut a piece of 11/4 oak to slip in the receiver and stood on it, no problem... This would allow the nose of the boat to fit between the ply., hang a Carabiner from the 2x4 to hook onto the grab handle.....

Well, exactly like behind a bike...With less parts...when you pull it by hand.....I could go the route of making an arm extending off a receiver, to hang the bow from the grab handle....Just, someway limit the swing when being pulled.....

So, with any camper with roof racks and pulled with a vehicle without racks. So, you get set up at a campground only the site is not near the water....And you have a pull cart with wheels, but you don't want to walk the park road up and down hills pulling the darn thing...How to adapt a piece that will fit over the ball hitch and bungee to the kayak? It will need to be secure to the kayak to keep it centered over the hitch ball.... I like things simple and lightweight.... For starters PVC fittings..... It needs to keep the nose of the kayak a distance from the back of the car... Some kind of material to create a V notch to line with foam and secure to the bow grab handle! That is the dilemma... A bungee can keep the thing secure with the ball... But securing it to a variety of kayak bows in my fleet....?

Oh, the trailer weighs 1020 lbs. with the big refrig.... The Sonic pulled it fine on our first outing... The following weekend I and the dog headed to the nearest (2 1/2 hours away) Ozark Stream, The Little Niangua!

How about some pics... All Baltic Birch..... water base stains are sprayed on with my airbrush, then rolled on a coat of epoxy, then sprayed some coats of helmsman spar urethane satin finish..... Cedar Boat Territory...

What are the length and width of the multi chine kayak in the pics? Build one of Jeff's hard chine kayaks it will have a lot of primary stability...

Well, I know I'm tired of this deep freeze we are having in MO. ... I see you don't have gutters, last year the snow was so heavy it ripped off gutters here during the melt ....

For sure I would make a 1/4 scale model SOF design first to work out any weak points in a design! But I have no immediate plans to go that route..

Thanks guys...What teardropers do is set up an easy up 10X10 over the back, works out great... Always thinking of possibilities.... Check out the possibilities on something like this...A skin-on-frame camper..

I use a thin kerf 0.063" blade when necessary. And I would only resaw lumber that is too thick for a tablesaw..
