woodman Posted August 17, 2014 Author Posted August 17, 2014 I went to a local St. Park, an hour away...A spot across from a restroom and a fork in the road...Had tons of lookers, and plenty of conversations...Be interesting to set up a strong back and lash up a kayak while camping sometime, good interaction, a lot of local people camp at this park..... I can prop open the rear hatch high enough to get into all the cabinets, refrig. etc.... Quote
NY_Rocking_Chairs Posted August 17, 2014 Posted August 17, 2014 I met someone who builds museum quality strip boats and he would do that: trailer a setup to a campground, setup for a week and do a build (not an entire strip boat, but would setup the strongback and start making the frames, etc). It was usually advertised in advance and stuff, that's how I met him, he was doing one such build in the Adirondaks at a campground, really nice guy. SOF boats would really lend itself do doing such demos, etc. I have been approached by several people after seeing my boats about doing a workshop or class, this is another great marketing/business idea to get more exposure.
