Just wondering if anyone reads it when I post there. If no one reads it or even knows it's there might be no sense in keeping it.

I do, but then I have been following this whole forum for years. I don't know that you need separate sections for announcement and discussions though.

I only checked it when seeing if there was any errata/updates to my build. Which having a separate forum is unnecessary, I would just keep a pinned set of threads for any models that have changes/errata.

I also subscribe to your blog via RSS and Google+, so I get updates from other places.

I check it, but not sure why you don't just use rhis forum to make announcments. You could even make them "stickys" for while,.

I just never remember to check it. Seems you have a large following here, why not post your announcements here?

You could move that section to the top of this forum, and like PDoug suggested make it sticky at the top of the page. One stop shopping so to speak.

I had my own forum running and talked to Frank about hosting it for me. You would not believe the amount of spammer and hackers you have to deal with running your own!

When I closed mine and Frank set this up and I had 4 different subforums and Frank imported the Kudzu Craft related forums. So that is why there is two. I think I am going to ask Frank to remove the other one. I don't see the need for it either.

I know very little about the details of how forums work or how to keep spam and junk out. I belong to 2 forums that I frequent a lot and are superb about keeping themselves a haven for the members. This is one of them. I also know that there are not many so well kept as this one.

Frank does an excellent job and I was SO HAPPY when he agreed to host my forum. I found out really quick that I didn't want too.
