messing about in boats. Sometimes and somedays its just nice to smell and enjoy the fresh air and the natural wonders. Corny? yep, but it never gets old doing it in anything that floats. I thought that I would freshen the page up a bit today before I go back to sanding. :'( I hope some of you landlocked fellers will enjoy the shots of the little corner of the world called the barrier islands of N. C.

Sand dollars are not white either no matter how many you see in the tourist traps too.

The shorebirds was numerous and there was an invader to the courtship and some were not amused if you look closely.

A drive will yield you fresh fish, bed and breakfast, and salt and sand in the hair for as long as you can take it. We aim to please.  ;D For the boys, the beaches are beginning to fill up with girls too. HEHE!

Those were some amazing shots I must say. Specially the silver/white crab one. Would be great if you share your boat's picture.

  I love the coastal pictures.  I hope I'll be headed your way before too long.  Your response to PenGrace has me thinking though - I bet lots of people would love it if you'd start another thread and post one picture each of your last several (or dozen) projects.  They're such different boats from one to the next but always a joy to behold.

While I know that you are a true boat enthusiast, I also would like to know others interests. Interaction is also important so as not to seem to be acting in a narcistic[sp] behavior you know. While I like to share ideas, creating a thread in that manner with nothing more than a few of my narrow and favorite interests at this point maybe considered narcisism[sp]to the point,IMO.

But also I consider my stuff is nothing more than a "pickup truck" of old days by comparison to so many others here. But more to the point,  on the wooden canoe forum and one other that I read a favorite tactic of spammers would be a simular one by new folks on the block with an infomercial listed in their tagline.  We use to get pms in the same manner, out of the blue, especially since I rarely posts on both of the forums. They would go through the members lists as we found out after some threads would pop up too. I do not like Spammers!!! especially ones that soil boat forums that are dedicated boat sites,yes my obsession you know!.

So I say lets talk boats and there may be some common ground. Show me yours, oh that right I know all about your boat, the one that has that outboard that runs so quietly everyone else is envious of your talents and ability to have invented it in the first place.  ;D

I think I am going to be humming a Carly Simon song all day now.
