your favorite "build" sites

Thought I do a little probing and find out if you have a favorite site or two that specifically document a build. I have marked numerous ones that I like to browse.  One of my favorites is one that documents the building of a William Garden Tomcat.  This one is carvel planked.  I may perhaps attempt to build a Tomcat some day, though I think I would do it strip built.    I've had a good time following the Artic Tern build because the builder seems to plan every single move ever so carefully beforehand.  It's a good contrast to my hack-it-up-and-fill-in-later (if ever) style of building.  He's going to have a really pretty boat.

There's also an older one with some sparse details about our previous build (Stevenson Pocket Cruiser) at www.roguepaddler.com/boat.htm  We sold that boat to afford the move to Georgia (from Iowa), which is why we're now building a larger boat for large lake and ocean use.

   That's a great site Jeff!  You haven't had the pleasure of meeting the builder have you?  ;D

   You've got a lot of great stuff incorporated into the boats.  I like the day hatch and the drop down skeg etc.  etc...  It appears you've put a lot of thought into the useability of the boat.

   I've filed some ideas away for future use.

   I think my next boat might be another kayak.
