Does Matt and the Duckworth's boat have satellite tracking like Graham?

In other words when you are watching them is their position established by GPS?

If so, what site is this tracking data available?

Having looked at a few of the photos, the big change this year is the size of those class 4 boats. Looks like they have figured out a way to get past the first "filter" of getting the boats from the parking lot to the beach. I can see why Graham wanted to build a new sled.

Yes, the pivot is pretty clear; its the top of the board I was looking at. I am building a Michalak pram that is similar in size but not decked over, and also has one "sideboard." Because it has to resist forces from both directions to be useful on both tacks, the top edge rides in a strongly-anchored slot.

Dale, I haven't looked for any tracking site on Matt. But he is posting on the Watertribe forum.

I can't figure out how to get the checkpoint check-in times off the Watertribe site. I don't remember having any difficulty last year. I can access the forum, the rosters, course info, etc. but can't find the real-time stuff. I wanna know who's ahead!

First into Checkpoint 1 was Shakealeg2 and Longleg on a catamaran in 11 hrs 30 min

Graham and Tinker were second at 12 hrs 45 min

Third was Lugnut and Root at 13 hrs and 58 min on a 20' by 5' balanced lugsail, single leeboard boat

Not too big a change on the size of the boats since Sea Pearls have been in the race since its inception. They are 600# empty. The extra foot over the pearl is not too much as it is still probably lighter than the Sea Pearl--the big difference is the beam and sail area.
