sailing trip report

I have about 20 minutes or so of some sailing video also. I am having a problem 'finding' the right files type to create the video in, to post to the web. So far the only place that I can find to upload is to Imagestation which will accept MPEG-1.

I have three differtent video programs, all of which create video in diffferent formats. Having a hard time trying to figure out which way to go. Now that I have re-located my original website, I need to transfer some files to the new computer so that I can maybe upload video to that site.

The last video I creted became shorter than the original by about 20% but became almost twice as large in file size. :shock:

Hey Capt Jake, I had not noticed your earlier post with your video, just went back and had a look, very nice... waves look big in the video, I bet they seemed huge in real life

would you like to host your wmv files off my server, I can figure out a way for you to transfer them there if you like.

I have been using windows movie maker to make my video, I am actually quite impressed with it, though it will only save .wmv files which I found a bit annoying, not because they are large (as they are nicely compressed), but because they are in a propietary format.

let me know if you would like a place to shove your videos.

That's what I have noticed on the multiple programs that I have. What a pain! Thanks for the offer, but if I can get my old computer networked, I will be able to upload to my website (that I thought was lost forever). I ma waiting on some thechnical help to get the networking done. XP and 98 don't sem to like each other very well.

the short video was the 'barenaked ladies' a canadian group, the longer version had three tracks by 'the flying pickets' and english group and a couple of other tracks that I can't remember off the top of my head.
