They'er, Boatbuilder Connection Forum, is new from some time in 2003. It's set up like Messing- About, you can get to it but, ya can't get in. Something has happen, I've sent some E's but, thay don't know either.It's been down for three day's now.

Nothing has been deleted that I know of. The Registry is still there. Thay just added a Forum, like so many are doing.

Dingo- Long ago I had a Navel Archetect friend of mine redraw the forward sections of the Noyo as a cruising trawler, rather than a fish boat. Left the wheel house as is, but added a cabin up front- long and low. Would have been a great one or two person cruiser.

But then I met Laura, who is a sailor to the core, detests going ANYWHERE with an engine running - so ___________/)________/)________ a sailing we went.

Sadly theres a shift in the employment paragrim again and theyre now offering me a take it or find another job transfer and shift change Im sorta at me wits end deciding what to do... they want me to transfer to New South Wales to a mine at Cobar somewhere out in the never never and the shift will change which is really whats making me wince here from 2 on 1 off to 4 on 1 off... I dont see enough of the missus and hoons now let alone if I fly over there for 4 weeks! It would mean a shift in timing of the retirement to a mere few short years instead of a long few years as the moneys over triple what Im presently getting for the same work

The best thing to do about the stern gig is to set you up a pattern of jigs that simulates the exact transom in the side of your shop. You can practice two ways, one by making you a bending jig and laminate strips. To find your pattern for the round, rip you some very thin strips and lay it around till you get a curve to your liking. Run you some small screws on each side of it to hold it in shape. You need to only use one side of it, but you still need to have that battern bent around to get the curve that you wish, no difference than lofting a boat. Mark it on the plywood only using half, cutting it out and transfering it to the other side so both curves match.

Now you are only done with the simple part of the stern. This will give you just the bottom pattern, and you will need to create this a bit wider for any flare that is transfered around the stern. Keep in mind, an upright barrel stern is only one way to do a stern. Certain round sterns or distintive looking sterns are created and dictated by bottom configuations. But in your case of the hard chine you are limited with the types that can be generated, which in this case is what I have now. Yes it very confusing sounding, but much easier in real life. Try it. This can be done with cutting cross grain chunks for the framing, too, which is how the olde timers did it.

The Pirate Alphabet was a comedy bit in a movie by Mike Nesmith of The Monkees. The movie is called "Elephant Parts" - It was made in the 80s and it's basically a bunch of corny sketches with the occasional music video.

Unfortunately Mr Nesmith didn't furnish us with a whole alphabet. Mainly just the letters "Arr!", "Aye!", "Oh!" and "Tea?!?"

Here's a few pic's of a Minuet. This one was up for sale over on E-Bay awhile back. It was built in 87 and sold for under $1,200.00, encluding the trialer! I believe it to be built (for the most part) per plans. I myself, will be making a few changes. Like the, cockpit seat hachtes, swing rudder, enclose the lockers from cabin and Flotation. Just to mention a few, there is one or two more. Not to take away from this build, I think he did a mighty find job.
