I have the 2005 aclacnder in the kitchen. I have to stop and look at the December photo every time I pass. That picture of Wayne Munro is a pretty neat picture. Beautifully framed and really catches the moment. I searched in My Gallery but couldn't locate it. 'twould be cool to have in a picture screen saver. My present wallpaper is a picture from on deck of a boat heeling hard on a clear day; always makes me want to lean to one side.

I've become partial to various sailing shots as screen savers and have downloaded the free Webshots software and then loaded all the sailing shots I want from their galleries and from my own photos and those that I come across. www.webshots.com

Sailing photos, spectacular sunsets and tropical beaches head my list. Most can be downloaded free of charge but there are some really spectacular "Premium" shot available at low cost.

The software allows you to set up a slide show that rotates over any time frame you wish and can be either desktop or simply screen savers. I have it setup as both. So I can have favorite photos or art shots on my desktop all the time. 8)

Well, I'm so new I never had a calendar before anyway.

I can, though, feel your pain. Sitting here trying to get the semester started this week (had two classes without instructors until 9.00 on the morning of the first day), polish off a major grant due out by 5.00pm today, make two off-site visits this morning, participate in the strategic planning committee with a straight face, finish a full annual college-wide faculty files review, and get my bathroom remodeled, I know how it all sneaks up on you.

The crowning blow on the bathroom came when I smashed the main flange area on the toilet (not the tank, mind you) while remounting the tank immediately after finally finishing -- and a damn fine job too -- fitting the new floor. Great. Now the toilet has to be replaced, mucking up the floor tiles, etc. etc. etc.....

You know something, I came out of the house this morning at 0-dark-thirty and discovered some sort of unfinished boat under a big plastic tarp in my driveway. I'm trying to remember how it got there.... :?

I saw the 2006 WoodenBoat calendar last week. It is nice and we can make do until Frank gets a chance to produce more in the future...I hope he will anyway.
