Well, er, ah, um, there is the slight problem of the wide-bodied lady with arthritic knees using such a spendid but perhaps not over-large craft. Plus I always have the excuse that I like to repair things rather than start from scratch. If we lived closer to you, I would nip on over to assist in repairs to Swimmer. 8) I am off in a few minutes to begin some repairs to an old Laser aquired very cheaply when we were just looking for mast and rigging parts. We got the whole boat thrown in as well so when I do a bit of mending and rerigging, we will have two boats near where we live in the city.

I have a digital camera with a memory that allows a hundred and twenty eight pictures. Sometimes I just click to click :roll:

But I have to give credit to the Firstmate Joan, she waded out to get several multi boat picks from different angles. 8)

The Gudschinsky's are good sailing buddies and friends. John Metzner and his wife Cherrie joined us for a weekend sail. Though we have communicated on the forum, we had never really met, but no worry instant friends. I really enjoyed their company and it was very nice watching two people discover a whole different side (the fourth step according to Fintan) of their new adventure with the Weekender.

These two days were one of the nicest sailing excursions I have participated in, because of the company of two other gaffers.

All this, espite the local forest fire's smoke that has been settling in when the wind quits. I found it encouraging that something so positive could occur even though the smoke was so thick. One item of note, that I can't explain scientifically, was the smoke seemed not to settle on the water, but hang in a layer above the boats. I think there was some kind of temperature inversion going on.

Mike, if I save any more picture files the hard drive is going to crash. :? The pictures coming in from Alaska this Spring and Summer have been the best ever. All I need for complete happiness would be a moose swimming through one of the shots. If I were Mike Stevenson, I would create an album on their website just for these pics.
