Warmest winter here in years! Hardly any snow in the mountians. Heck, Tom N. is sailing in an area that is normaly frozen!! Clear and sunny yesterday, about 50, today it has rained but now it is partly cloudy and 55.

Simon, I could not find it oin the other site. It was basically an angle grinder with a long bar or rod attatched to the side of it to act as a guide for the angle of the stringer. The bar was run along , say the top stringer, while the grinder works on the bottom one. Then reverse the proceedure. Hope that makes sense.

Simon, there used to be a photo of a jig on the old Weekender site that Frank first put up, regarding the fairing of the stringers. Kind of hard to explain, though when you see the pictures, it is quite simple. If I get time, I will look and see if I can find it tommorrow, or maybe Frank know's right where it is. ??

I found, rolling her upside down to be easier than going back right side up. rolling back to the 'normal' position, you are fearful of damaging the work you have just completed and once over that center point, watch out!! My wife and I turn mine back over last week, only minor damage to the bottom. That was when it decided to sit up straight and she did!! I knew I should have moved teh welder!! A little bondo and I'll be OK, and the boat too. Now to get it back on hte cradle??? Hmmm :wink:

Bigger monitors is what we need!! LOL Well, I am at 1024x768, but I have a 19" monitor. No problems with viewing here!! to to admit, even with that, the tesxt makes me sit up straight to see it.

Well Scott, a few of us simply extended the 'stub' of the mast. Mine is extended about 9", think T. Nelson's is a bit more. Nelson has already gone thorugh the modifications, while I am still in the construciton phase.

Hmm, I don't have that problem., interesting.
