Thanks PAR for those part numbers! That Perko one may be the replacement I have been looking for for all the finger pull closures I have on my big boat. JP

I was at B and B last week, picking up the kit for my CS17 since I have not been able to get started with the plans that I have had for a long time. I am really excited to get started building, and have started on some of the assemblies and the masts. The kit is amazing, and cutting plywood, which is my least favorite part of building, not including sanding, is no longer an issue. While I was there Alan showed me the method he came up with of keeping his hatch closed. Definitely very cool. I really like the idea of no external closures for the aft and fore hatch. Has anyone else come up with some cool solutions? Alan- would you post some pictures- I really wish I had brought my camera with me.... Thanks! JP

I have had good luck with Norton and Mirka- I learned, not as early on as I probably should have, that spending a bit extra on sandpaper, as folks above have mentioned, is well worth it.

Hi Ronny- she looks great. I am considering a build and thinking about power options, etc. I will be interested to hear what the performance/fuel usage is with that motor, especially compared to the specs on the plans with the 25. Looking forward to the updates! JP

Hi all- I recently bought the plans for the CS 17 and am seriously considering getting the kit from Graham to make the building process a bit easier. I recently tried to get together with Ken Potts as he was selling his boat but I fear that we may have missed connecting and I don't know how to get a hold of him. So, before I jump into the building- anyone else out there considering selling their CS 17? Thanks- John
