Action Tiger Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 Looky what finally arrived... Quote
Action Tiger Posted January 3, 2015 Author Report Posted January 3, 2015 Not finally because of any fault. Finally because I finally had some spare coin. I've ordere two things now, and had excellent service. Just wanted to be clear. Quote
Action Tiger Posted January 4, 2015 Author Report Posted January 4, 2015 The title was the query, I thought. Anybody interested in seeing another boat being built thread, or just frame and done photos? I'm going to build this at the same time my daughter and I build a double I devised/modified/designed/adapted... Quote
Kudzu Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Someone is bound to interested, they may be in winter hibernation right now. Quote
jshaley Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Would love to watch the whole build, either here or if you put a link in your signature. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Action Tiger Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 Done. I'm not racing, but I'll post photos. I recently moved, so I'll be building new strong backs (two boats, remember) and all. I'll document the whole deal. This is new ground for me. I'm an artist and draughtsman, but computers (well, space phone) and photography are new to me. I'm just old enough to have survived with a pencil and calculator. I'm very excited for my new boat(s). You guys may not believe this, but it gets kinda cold here, too. 20s and 30s count, right? Quote
Action Tiger Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 Also, the plans package is very nice. The book is a nice touch. A good value for the dollar. Lord knows I've overpaid for some turds, whereas I feel I got over on Kudzu a bit... I really dig your style. Quote

Yes Please, love to see it all. We are having bush fires and 90s in Australia so the air con is getting a work out. Quote
azucha Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 Look forward to progress reports Action Tiger! I'm almost finished skinning my Castaway. Build has gone well. Cutting frames and stringers took the most time for me. Lashing and skinning went faster than I thought it would. Keep us posted. Quote
Action Tiger Posted January 6, 2015 Author Report Posted January 6, 2015 Awesome. I had no idea about what I should do. I'm pretty new around here, and this is my first go round on the net. I guess one more sucker to laugh at, eh? Quote
Hirilonde Posted January 6, 2015 Report Posted January 6, 2015 Everyone in all sections of this forum likes photos. I don't read every entry, but I check every section of the forum and look at all the pictures. Some quickly and some carefully, but all are eye candy. I have never heard a single complaint about someone posting too many pictures. I will look at your pictures. Quote
deeredoc Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 I am new here, but I'll be watching. I found out about Kudzu Craft on a woodworking forum. I like to fish, but have to go by myself and the 10' jonboat is too clumsy for one person. Quote
