Word of thanks

Just wanted to say thank you to Jeff and the rest of you on hear.

You all are a wealth of info and a group of pure Gentlemen which is rare on many forums.

Getting on here is helping me maintain my motivation to build 3 of these craft with my boys when I get home from this deployment. With all the info and insite found here it should make for a fun build.

The plan now is to build a Ravenswood for the youngest, Vardo for the oldest, and a Firefly for myself ( I really have fallen in love with the Baidarka bow). The fun part is these will be simultaneous builds as the boys are old enough to do most of the work themselves.

Best thing you can do for your boys, working with them. Congrats to you for taking the time to do it.  I'm old, my most cherished memories are working with my dad in his shop.

Yes I am active duty USMC. Thanks I am too close to retirement for stupid human tricks so I plan for this tour to be as boring as possible.

P.S. Just saw that Jeff's first book is available for Kindle so I bought and read the whole book in a couple hours. I will more then likely read it many more times but it already has answered a lot of questions. Hopefully he also offers the second book in the future as an e-book.

Maybe.  It's a lot of work and the sales of E-books are marginally worth the effort.  I actually started the conversion but it just didn't go nearly as well as last time and I was so sick of working on that book I gave up.

No problem. I imagine you have plenty on your plate besides worrying about books. I plan on buying both in hard copy when I get back. This just gives me something for the meantime.
