To all that have built Curlew

Just started assembly of my curlew and looking at the cockpit forward it looks like the frame that you must put your feet through seems to be a little tight. It measures about 17" x 7 1/2". did I do something wrong or is it about right?  Thought I would address this before moving on.     thanks to all.

Keep in mind that you point your feet when getting in and out.  I have no issues, but I only have size 9EE feet.  Did you buy the plans which include full size patterns?  Or did you draw the frames yourself from the off-sets?  My Curlew is at work (I work at a marina on a salt pond), so I can't measure the opening in the frame.

Just ran out to my garage and did a quick measure.  Your dimensions are real close to what I quickly measured.  I drew my frames for the offsets in the Jeff's book.

I can get my 13's through there.  I do have to sit on the back deck and slide in though.  Can't just sit on the seat and put my feet in but I'm 6'5" tall.
