Bigger Belhaven?

Since the Belhaven is an easier and faster build than the Princess, would there be enough interest to enlarge the Belhaven design to say around 22-23'?  Since the Belhaven cabin is roomier, a 22-23 foot version should be cavernous.  Allow for some decent headroom too.  Keep the Core Sound aesthetics.

Hard to say?  I know I would be interested.  I like the aesthetics of the Core Sound/Belhaven boats over the Princess sharpie look.  Would be nice to get to an 8' beam for better interior volume and layout options.  There might be a lot of people out there that prefer a modern design over the historical sharpie design.  I just have not found a modern design in the size range we are talking that is simple and has the performance of your boats.  Also good headroom would be desired.  Obviously not standing, but a slot top would be cool.  I am using a slot top on my Tolman standard 18' powerboat with a cuddy.  It is nice to have unlimited headroom when the conditions are appropriate.  Good amount of ballast to keep her on her feet and a generous sail plan.

I will be like Obama and ask that everyone send Graham an e mail and tell him that he should design the boat.   Seriously, if there is other interest, acknowledging it here would be appropriate and compelling.

Got any pictures of your boat recently?  I like the color scheme.  I like sailing pictures.  Have lots of them saved of Pilgrim.

Sorry Joe, can't help today. There are lots of pictures out there, every time we go out we see people taking pictures. But so far they haven't been sent to me. We'll work on that next weekend.

Adventures, too, Norman!  Tell us about your adventures!  Also, when I saw her the interior was unfinished and raw wood: have you gotten her done?

The interior is not done although I have made progress. All sealed. Porta potti in place, galley space designated. Half of a berth. Our adventures have nothing on you

Took a great sail up the Plum Island sound and up the Parker river as far as the route 1a bridge. Many tacks to get home. Oldest brother, oldest sister, younger brother, youngest daughter and me. Tremendous winds, other boats were reefed, we probably should have been too, but live ballast had us flying.

Fishing trips have been unsuccessful so far. Dragged a couple bluefish lures behind as we sailed north just east of Plum Island. Then back to the bell buoy. Saw lots of people fishing as well, but none catching. We'll try again next weekend. I'll take my camera.

I seem to remember a larger cabin and smaller cockpit modification of the Princess 22.  Any help with that info?

I think someone did a drawing with the cabin aft bulkhead brought back to the mizzen mast step. Not sure who. And I think Ray retracted his statement that the belhaven cabin was roomier. My experience has been that there's plenty of room. And I sure like the huge cockpit.
